Who would guess Decarnin, the king of the modern disco, to deliver such a baroque and vintage collection? Well, here it is! If you're not convinced yet, check out the rich brocades Christophe imprinted on his clothes, especially in luxurious gold, the intelligent use of embroidery materials, the extravagant, yet classy coats (love the motifs!), the neck's lassos, transparent blouses and a lot more. Mix this influences with the kind of Balmain Decarnin made famous and you'll see selvage animals prints, pointed shoulders (trademark, don't fix what ain't broke, but I may be biased, I love that trend!), short and girdled dresses, a lot of skinny pants (no sign of denim washed-out or ripped, though, just wealthy patterns and shiny fabrics) and synthetic fur coats (I wish). The colors went all the way through golds, black, touching purple (check out Anna Selezneva opening outfit), camel, greyish green and blue. The cuts where more lady-like, and you could actually see an elegant suit (presented wonderfully by Cármen Kass), among many other feminine outfits. I'll definitely imagine myself wearing many of these items. Nevertheless, all this gold plus leopard is a bit more difficult for me to cope. So, this may not be a fav collection, however it's a good move.
