Think big. Think baggy and volumes, with a rock n' rool twist to it. That should do it. That was Jill Stuart for this fall. Oversized scarves, giant coats, tall hats, drapes, square pattern, mini dresses, high boots, lace, (…) crowded that runway. Of course, when you shoot at so many directions, you’ll probably hit something, but for me a solid bad collection, it’s better than a dispersed ok collection. No, I didn’t hate it, at all! Some of the outfits are actually lovely! But I would much prefer if they had stick to 2 or 3 inspirations… But I’m I a famous designer?! Hell, no! So, just enjoy the collection! :)

The first part was very clean, with all the white-gray pallet of colors. I sensed some minimalism, which I loved! The rest of the colourful stuff surprised me too, I liked the leggings matched with wool upper pieces, the waist accentuation (especially on the gorgeous jumpsuits above). The multi-color outfits, amazed me, for they did not look tacky, just cute! I adored the Chinese vibe of the belts (even if some had those horrid pompons) and the modern coats, so different from the Lacoste usual. How precious were the hats?

Cocoon and oversized, with a little Marni inspiration, especially the necklaces, the patterns and the shirt+medium skirt combo. That was the first half. On the next outfits, there were some gorgeous dresses, very well-made, but others were extremely unflattering to the models, especially in the hip area. Something went wrong in the fittings...

P.S. I didn't get the gold stained looks...

White and cool. For those who thought only black could do grunge, think twice! Erin showed an interesting collection, jovial and casual! The hat must be taken to Joan Smalls, though who, surprisingly enough, opened and closed the show! Season started well for this new face!
