The Pirelli is so much more than a calendar for man to drool over. 
For me, it's nudity going artistic. Most of the years, at least.

This year was Mario Sorrenti's view of nature that blended 
with some of the most sexy models: including Natasha Poly 
and Joan Smalls (seen above).

The result are fantastic b&w pictures where beautiful women 
strip to melt with the forest. Nymphs indeed.

O calendário da Pirelli já há muito deixou de ser um simples adereço
 de camionista para passar a um objecto de culto do mundo da moda.

Eu, pessoalmente, aprecio a capacidade que muitos fotógrafos 
têm de despir à nudez a sua vulgaridade. 
Neste caso, Mario Sorrenti foi muito bem sucedido. 
As fotos que já vi são etéreas, quase despojadas de malícia. 
Quando olho para elas, imagino fadas, ninfas ou anjos, 
à solta na floresta e que foram docemente capturadas pela objectiva.

If you wanna drag attention, just wait till the last day of PFW and send impossible models like Elle Macpherson, Laetitia Casta, Bar Refaeli, among other sexy bombshells, along the runway wearing long rounded skirts, with waists highlighted by belts and finally, to top it off, balconette, V-shaped necklines, than enhanced the models...hum...chest. Pair all of this with sharp-toe stilettos, covered with a gently lace, and some high gloves and purse and you're off to turn heads! Marc Jacobs certainly knew how to top all the sexy-reminiscent shows (aka, Prada, Giles, ...) and was hiding it all along!

Didn't my fairest Adriana looked great? What a comeback! This time, Alessandra also looked amazing and so did Rosie. Too bad Doutzen didn't make it, she'd look perfect!

As you may know by now, I'm a defender of Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri work since their gorgeous 2009 S/S collection. Therefore, don't think you'll hear all that "This is not Valentino!" yell. That been said, this collection was all about romance: the lace, the ivory colors (pink, white), the ruffles, the layered gowns,the light fur... Still, there was a hint of modernness about their designs, like an hidden key that unfolds at the models walk... It was well-made and dreamy, but there's still something lacking among those two designers hands, I know they can do better than this. I understand that they had to play it safe after HC " Greek tragedy", but they're more talented than this!
