Sempre tive um enorme fascínio por polaroids!
Adoro a forma como parecem capturar a alma das pessoas,
adoro ver os rostos sem retoques, mais próximos daquilo que realmente somos...
Por esse motivo, adorei conhecer as imagens do "Wild Things",
o livro de Douglas Perrett, famoso director de castings,
que contém as primeiríssimas polaroids de alguns dos modelos
que singraram no mundo da moda nos últimos 10 anos.
É engraçado conhecer os rostos antes da fama, quando ainda davam os primeiros passos inseguros!
Gostei também de conhecer algumas das primeiras impressões de Douglas Perrett
de algumas das modelos mais bem sucedidas de hoje, como a Miranda Kerr:
"She would always do her castings with her blonde friend,
another Aussie who would always get the job. She never booked the jobs."
e a Candice Swanepoel "Didn't like her; Found her very Barbie-like."
que nos mostram que na moda, como na vida, muitas vezes somos recusados
e temos de ter força para continuar a lutar pelos nossos sonhos!

and for me they're the closest thing to capture someones soul!
That's why I adored Douglas Perrett book "Wild Things"
which showcases some of today's most famous models first polaroids!
I found it refreshing to see all those young makeup-less faces,
still innocent and awkwardly trying to find a place in the industry!
And, let's face it, with makeup or not, they were all babes even then!
*Sigh*
